International Program Development for Universities
Study Abroad with Paideia
The Paideia Institute works together with universities to develop study abroad programs in Classics and related disciplines in Italy, Greece, and elsewhere in Western Europe. Paideia specializes in facilitaing faculty-led programs of one to three weeks over spring break or during January or May term. As in all its programs, Paideia works with faculty to develop an itinerary that integrates literature and history with material culture while providing logistical support and guidance that allows faculty to concentrate on teaching. Working with the Paideia Institute to put together my travel course to Greece was a very positive experience. They always had helpful suggestions, and handled the logistics seamlessly, freeing me to focus on teaching. It was a highlight of my teaching career, and made for a memorable experience for the students too. I recommend them highly for a study course in Greece. — Professor Wendy Larson-Harris, Roanoke College
