The Paideia Institute seeks a Teaching Assistant with a background in Latin and archaeology to lead an educational tour of France (Marseille, Nîmes, Lyon) for an American high school group in March of 2025. Ahead of the tour the Teaching Assistant will work with members of the Paideia office and the client school's teachers to coordinate the logistics of the group’s itinerary and tour curriculum. The Teaching Assistant will travel with the group for the entirety of the tour, overseeing daily logistics and participating in leading educational site visits. All transit, site entrances, and lodging will be covered, a per diem will be provided for meals, and the TA will receive additional compensation.
Ideal candidates will have strong academic and practical familiarity with the sites on the itinerary, as well as teaching and/or leadership experience with high school-age students. Native or fluent command of English is required; knowledge of French is greatly appreciated but not mandatory.
