Aequora at Danbury Grassroots Academy

Aequora at Danbury Grassroots Academy is a K-8 program using the Paideia Institute's Aequora: Teaching Literacy with Latin curriculum to improve literacy, cultural understanding, and educational equity by making classical studies accessible and engaging. The curriculum introduces the basics of Latin vocabulary and grammar, Roman culture and mythology, and connections between Latin, English, and Spanish, all through games and activities designed to show students that learning Latin is fun!

About This Site

Our site is located at Danbury Grassroots Academy in Danbury, Connecticut. Each year, Danbury Grassroots Academy serves 60-65 selected at-risk students from the ages of 8 to 22. We meet once a week to read, play, and learn as we provide an introduction to Latin and a deeper understanding of history.
