German for Classicists: A Reading Course

Course Description

Course Description: This course is designed to strengthen your German reading knowledge, particularly for reading academic texts within ancient history, Classics, and related disciplines. Each week we will read and discuss a different academic paper written in German in order to improve our reading comprehension of academic German texts. The instructor will provide materials, but there is room to tailor what is read to specific academic and historical interests. Note that this is not a German conversation course, the primary language of discussion will be English. Don't worry if your German isn't perfect, but you should have some background, whether in formal classes or self-study. Cancellation Policy

Telepaideia tuition is non-refundable. However, if you need to cancel your enrollment or withdraw from your class, you may be eligible for a 50% credit to be used toward a future Telepaideia course. In order to be eligible for this credit, you must notify info@paideiainstitute.org of your withdrawal before the second class meeting has taken place.
