Living Greek Online High School is an intensive online ancient Greek program designed to introduce high school students to Ancient Greek. This course covers the basics of Greek grammar in order to prepare students to read and discuss authentic Greek texts. The program teaches Ancient Greek both via the traditional grammar translation method and via active language pedagogy, which gives students the opportunity to speak Ancient Greek as a living language.
This program is an online alternative to our in-person travel program: Living Greek in Greece (High School). Please visit that webpage if you are interested in traveling abroad in the summer of 2023.
This course is for beginners only, and current high school students at all grade levels are encouraged to apply. Students will be asked to memorize the Greek alphabet before the start of the course. Students who already know some Ancient Greek should consider our offerings through Telepaideia or our Living Greek in Greece travel program.
