Rome: from the Punic and Macedonian Wars to Sulla

Course Description: We will start by reading (in English) selections from Polybius. We will proceed reading Heichelheim's 'History of the Roman People' starting with the Punic and Macedonian Wars through the Social War, Marius, Sulla, and beyond. There will be readings from other authors, depending on students' interests.


Level: This course is designed for advanced high school students, college students, teachers, and amateur historians wishing to learn more about the history of Rome.

Textbook: Instructor will provide materials.
