I am Associate Professor at Samford University's Howard College of Arts and Sciences. This is my third year helping our Advanced Latin students coordinate Aequora so that Elementary Latin students can engage in service-learning in order to learn by teaching as partners with the children. I have now taught Classics at Samford University for eighteen years.

Lee Duan is a high school junior at Longmeadow High School. Lee has studied over 5 years of university Latin. He is also learning Spanish, Portuguese, and French. In his free time, Lee enjoys playing the bassoon, watching Korean dramas, and nomming on Chipotle.

Assistant Professor at Boston College

James works at the Center for Reducing Suffering, which researches how to avoid the worst possible sources of suffering that could occur in the future. He has previously interned at Animal Charity Evaluators and Wild Animal Initiative. He graduated from Haverford College with a B.A. in Linguistics and a minor in Classical Languages in 2018. James has fond memories of Paideia's Living Latin in Rome and Living Greek in Greece, as well as several other spoken Latin and Greek programs. His other research interests in Classics include Plutarch's writings on animals and cash distributions in classical Athens.

 I am a CGPS sophomore currently in Latin 3 studying Latin grammar and translating intermediate latin passages. I have a love of the ancient world and I study ancient Greek and Latin. I am a huge Roman history buff and lover of both Greek and Roman mythology. Outside of school, I enjoy listening to history podcasts (my favorite is Mike Duncan’s History of Rome podcast), reading, and running. 

Madison is a Latin teacher at the School of the Blessed Sacrament in Manhattan, teaching 4th-8th grade. Using the spoke-Latin approach, she teaches Paideia’s Elementa curriculum and is now piloting the second edition of Elementa. She is also an English PhD student at Fordham University, in which she focuses on Greek and Latin pedagogy in 16th-century England. She is an alumna of LLiR 2017, the Rome Internship 2018, and has been a Telepaideia instructor.
