A Latin Scavenger Hunt at the Haverford Arboretum
Saturday, May 7, 11:30am-1:30pm
High School Students and undergraduates are invited to experience Latin as a living language while exploring the Haverford College Arboretum at the Paideia Institute's Iter Botanicum Haverfordianum. Participants will compete in small teams to complete a Latin scavenger hunt by interacting with Paideia's Latin-speaking staff members. Winners will receive prizes inspired by the ancient world for their Latin classes. The event will also feature a talk by our host and guest speaker Prof. Bret Mulligan of Haverford College.
All students with an interest in Latin and botany are welcome. Latin teachers and professors are encouraged to attend with their students to participate and learn more about active Latin pedagogy.
