Lucian's True History

Lucian's True History

Course Description: A True History is often described as the first science fiction novel—it is even mentioned in an exhibit at the Air and Space Museum as the oldest text to imagine a journey to the moon. It contains elements of science fiction, fantasy, satire, parody, and mythology. It is a fantastical story that will take us to outer space, introduce us to unheard-of creatures, and sail off into the sunset for more adventures. It is outlandish, humorous, and entertaining, and our narrator assures us that it all totally happened (wink, wink).
