Mark Buchan, a former Professional Classicist, currently teaches in the Writing Program at Rutgers University and is Editor of Paideia's online magazine, In Medias Res. He received his BA in Classics from Cambridge University, his PhD from the University of Michigan, and has written a book or two on Homeric poetry. He can be found in his natural habitat, the jazz and piano bars of New York City.

Paul Cartledge is the A. G. Leventis Senior Research Fellow at Clare College, University of Cambridge, and Emeritus A. G. Leventis Professor of Greek Culture, University of Cambridge. His many books include Democracy: A Life and Thebes: The Forgotten City of Ancient Greece.

Joy Connolly is the President of the American Council of Learned Societies. She was previously interim president and provost of the Graduate Center of the City University of New York and a professor of Classics and the Dean for Humanities at New York University. Connolly's main research interests are Roman republicanism, rhetoric, civic discourse, classical reception, and the role that aesthetic experience plays in the formation of political judgement. She is the author of two books, The State of Speech and The Life of Roman Republicanism, and over eighty articles, book reviews, and essays. She speaks and writes regularly about the future of the humanities and the necessity of public funding for higher education as a keystone of a robust democracy. Connolly earned a BA from Princeton University (1991) and a PhD in classical studies from the University of Pennsylvania (1997).

Tatiana Eva-Marie is a Swiss-American musician and author. She holds an MA in English language, literature, and civilization (LLCE) from the Université Paris-Sorbonne, where she specialized in medieval studies, focusing on symbolism in Beowulf and the Arthurian legend, with a minor in Shakespearean studies. She previously taught French at the French Institute of New York. A former editor of Shrine Magazine—now continued as her Substack on film—she is also a published poet and the author of two musicals and two opera libretti. Alongside her writing, Tatiana tours internationally as a jazz singer and bandleader. She divides her time between Paris and New York City, and enjoys globetrotting, collaging, learning Italian, and listening to 1930s music.
