*Please note that this course will run only if two or more students enroll.
Course Description: Let’s accompany Aeneas and his companions on their flight from the burning Troy and look for their new homeland! It will be an adventure, and we will be facing many dangers … but also some very surprising and beautiful incounters and powerful words! In this course, we will read selected passages from this quite rarely treated Aeneid book. We will exercise to read metrically and talk about metrical particularities, rephrase verses in prose, find synonyms and expand our vocabulary, solve grammar questions and recur, when suitable, to other books of the Aeneid. The course is supposed to have a chilled atmosphere and will be adapted to the needs of you participants.
The course language will be Latin, which doesn’t mean that it is forbidden to ask things or translate into other languages, whenever necessary.
