Course Description: Let's read Xenophon's Lessons in Leadership, with a particular focus on Book I, but the ability to explore farther than just Cyrus's death (spoiler alert!). Let's see how the 10,000 get themselves into and out of one difficult situation after another. What does Xenophon show us about ad hoc leadership on the run? What lessons can we draw about leadership in less intense circumstances?

Level: If you've learned Attic grammar and have the basic Greek vocabulary memorized, you can tackle this text!
Textbook: We'll be using the Oklahoma Press reprint of a solid text with all of Books I-IV. The notes and vocabulary are robust, if annoying to flip back and forth to.
